At BarTax, we recognise that most barristers have neither the time nor the inclination to do any bookkeeping at the end of a busy day, even if provided with free bookkeeping software or templates.
Our approach is refreshingly Simple. Simply post us your paperwork and we will do the rest. No forms, no templates and definitely no spreadsheets - it really is that straightforward.
BarTax procedure
- Collect together your paper work
- Put it in an envelope
- Post periodically to BarTax using the labels provided
Once we've received your envelope, we will acknowledge receipt and where possible, produce interim account. If you've forgotten to include something we need, we'll let you know quickly to rectify the situation. And with your permission, we can establish contact with your Clerks, enabling us request your paperwork via them.
Most barristers forward their VAT returns and paperwork for completion on a quarterly basis, ensuring paperwork is dealt with periodically and reducing the strains and stress of Year End.
We will then provide a quarterly statement of accounts and also estimate future tax payments, if required. You will have the ongoing reassurance that your accounts are on track and up to date.
